An Interview with Terence Winter on NPR

The following is a link to an interesting interview with Terence Winter, creator of the series Boardwalk Empire, on NPR's "Fresh Air." Here is the written excerpt from the interview, titled "Down On The Boardwalk With Terence Winter." Also, you can listen to the podcast on "Fresh Air."

In the interview, Winter goes into some depth on the creation of the series, and how it arose out Nelson Johnson's book, "Boardwalk Empire." He also talks a bit about working with Scorsese, how the series blends history and fiction, and the cast and characters of the series.

It's a really good background for fans of the series, and explains a bit about how the series relates to the real history. It explains that while many of the characters are based on real life, it is definitely a fictionalized story.

Great background for anyone interested in the series.
